That seems most peculiar, I have not seen that happen before and have seen many worse threads deserving of it BUT, why not just remove it?

seems that the thread in question must be thanked for some now enjoying  a vacation.......and the reasons given don't even break policy rules

Locked threads are usually used by site staff to post news when no responses are wanted so the thread only lists updates and news about a site.

Some sites enable members to post a locked thread.

This one was probably as mentioned, no rules broken but coming close to the line.

I did not actually see the post in question...it went too quickly.  But I did see what others said about it.

It didn't go quickly.  Both members were full of it.  He went to the police?  Hahaha
