LOL, yep I guess he does she-ele. Will probably love me even more when he has kids of his own and realises what a PITA they can be:^O

Nice sunny day out there today, hope it's going to last until the weekend. I need the sunshine so my new solar thingy can send power back to the grid and balance out the amount of power I have used heating the house earlier in the week!

LOL at lis....a little sunshine and you is all bright and shiney again!:-x

Working until 7 tonight then I have to go home and spruce the place up a bit. Real Estate agent coming tomorrow morning, if he sees it like it is at present he'll recommend demolition:^O

Happy Birthday to Skipper :-x

Well, it all got dry, I love the feel & fresh air smell through the washing... (sad pleasures of a DomesticEngineer!)

Mr11 has been reading all day, started the 1st Harry Potter book, he's already read it TWICE!! He's made a little nest for himself with pillows & polar fleece throws, at the window in the study. Cute!

I have thawed some mince, so now I'm trawling the depths of my culinary consciousness for what to do with it for dinner...

Did anyone see the on the news last night about the couple who lost their baby at 17wks, allowed it to be taken for testing to see if they could find out why it had died, only to have the baby thrown out with hospital waste?? OMG, what a heartbreaking situation, the hospital staff involved should be sacked. The hubby said on the news last night that hospital staff said to his partner/wife "Don't call it a baby, it's only a foetus"... WHAT? The parents wanted to give the baby a dignified burial/funeral, now they have nothing. I just hope their relationship survives this trauma...

This is a second person with a similar situation:http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/western-australia/mother-left-wondering-if-her-baby-could-have-been-saved/story-e6frg13u-1226094813930

Good grief, how does this happen?!?! *scratching head trying to understand*

Have a lovely evening everyone...โ™ฅ

Evening all. Yes I did see that, LTS. How dreadful for that poor couple.

I hope you realise how lucky you are to have an 11 year old son who actually reads for pleasure. So many boys decide its uncool at that age. I think one of the greatest things abaout JK Rowling's books was that she turned kids and especially boys onto reading. Not only that, but her books are well written - double bonus. ๐Ÿ˜„

Has he read John Marsden's Tomorrow series? If not they would be good to get him onto.

You are lucky LTS. Keep him at it!!!

My boy read avidly, everything he could lay his hands on, Harry Potter of course, but stuff that his sisters were reading in Yr 11 & 12 (when he was in year 8.... load of his fathers (who is an avid reader) books, really adult fiction, his spelling, vocab etc was always way above average..........until he discovered the internet chat rooms and then shortly after ....girls!

I doubt that he has picked up a book in 5 years:(

Anyway, another day gone, tomorrow off, real estate agent coming tomorrow to tell me my house is worth 5 million (NOT!!!)

Have a lovely night all ๐Ÿ™‚

Lis, I hope you are feeling a bit less achey today. You take care, now beacause these things have a nasty habit of coming back to bite us as we get older.
Thanks She_ele. ATM I feel about 100 years old. Got that darn cough that Ive been nursing the family through. Its not pretty.

LOL at lis....a little sunshine and you is all bright and shiney again!
LOL! It was a lovely day. And back to winter tomorrow I believe.

shopping tonite .... and we know how much I hate that
Blerk Peela. Hope yours goes better than mine................ I decided that, as my sister had taken my kids on an outing, I would do the shopping this afternoon. The shopping centres have this great idea to have activities for the kiddies. So the shops were PACKED, I mean, completely full of Mums and kiddies, running yelling everywhere! What a nightmare, trying to do the shopping with frazzled Mums trying to make the kids behave and walk a straight line through the supermarket, move along, not put that stuff in the trolley, dont hit your brother aaarrrrgggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im going back to shopping at night on the holidays.
