It is the smaller locations that attract my attention.

Us too. We have seen some beautiful small places that rarely rate a mention in tourist info.

Decided to stay here for the week. Leave Monday with 2-3 days at Geraldton. Then do a loop inland then back out to the coast and down to Perth. Should be in Perth in 2-3 weeks. Not sure how long we are staying there.

Purrple, if you are planning to stay in Geraldton on the way through, there is a truly delightful little caravan park close to the water a few kilometres north of the town. I can't remember its name, but I'm sure someone here will know it. I've only ever driven past it, but I've always wanted to stay there because it looks so neat and cosy IYKWIM

And now can we get back to the REALLY IMPORTANT topic - when and where are we going to meet. I would be very happy to have everyone at DS's place on Saturday (we are house sitting while they are away). The kids would be fine, Lis. There is a trampoline in the back yard and they also have a very fancy theatre room and just about every DVD ever produced, so we could set them up with a film if they wanted. If this suits everyone and we can organise a time I'll message you all the address.

A Grandbaby on it's way..... lovely.

I've been babysitting a 14 1/2 year old dog for 4 hours this morning and I'm knackered!!
She is incontinent, almost blind, nearly deaf and has a very dicky heart...
Had all steps blocked so she wouldn't fall down them and she wouldn't settle at all... she also only weighs 1 kilo...

If I drank coffee I reckon I would have gone through half of that She-ele...

Thanks TGSE. I think I have found it. Batavia Coast about 10klms north of Geraldton. Have checked it out on the web looks good.

Still a bit nervous, but yeah, Ill agree to that. Plus, they have Nintendos they take everywhere with them. Sounds good She_ele, Im in, thanks for the offer.
