As an antidote to all the "alert and alarmed" threads on here at the moment i thught it might be nice to have a Random Acts Of Kindness thread.
How about over the next week each of us tries to perform one random act of kindness and post it on here to encourage others to do the same.
RULES: no kudoes or virtual pats on the back (this isn't a competition or 'look at me' thread).Suggestions or thoughtful comments pertaining to the posts are OK.

Just spent an hour or so watching goats on trampolines on YouTube. Who'd-a-thought-it. Kids have got to be the funniest babies of all.
Well done Bushie, for your kindness and thoughtfulness. Your friend must be jumping for joy.

Was in Aldi the other day putting $1 in for the trolley and this welll-dressed frazzled looking guy came up and yelled I don't have a dollar, how in the hell can I get a trolley. what the hell, and he just lost it. So I opened my purse and gave him a dollar and he just changed from a lion to a pussycat. He was so grateful you would have thought I'd given him diamonds, and as we crossed paths in the aisles he kept saying thank you and smiling.
Little things - he'd obviously had a rotten day and that was the last straw.
Makes you think.

2 thoughts for today....................
1. Is a random act of kindness the same as "Pay it Forward"? or is it different?
2. Make someone happy every day............... even if you have to leave them alone to achieve it.
My thinking, when I started this thread, was that it meant doing some small service on the spur of the moment for someone you don't know and may never see again - but in the end I guess it can mean whatever you want it to mean.
It's so great to read all the posts here and to realise what a difference each one of us makes in our own small way. It's like dropping a pebble into water - there's no knowing how far the ripples are going to spread.
