Re: The Walking Dead

the guy in the glasses is Greg Nicotero, he does the special effects.

And yes, the "walking dead" actually refer to the living on the show, not the dead

If the living is considered the walking dead, then we are also the walking dead. Because we'll all eventually die.

DOes anyone here know if the story line thus far follows the comic book? As the speculation of terminus seems to be related to it.

Kiddo has mentioned the comic and a couple of differences but I forget them now, if I remember I will ask him again about it.

Re: The Walking Dead

There are characters introduced to the show that dont feature in the comic. I think off memory T-Dog was one. I think the comic and the script paralel but the show will deviate to add things in here and there, 'flesh' it out a little, make each episode more interesting. I think it would be pretty difficult to convert the comic material into a script, especially if the script writers start getting their own ideas about where the characters should be going etc.

I do want the comics, but they are very expensive, I might have to make do with the novels, but I think they are basically the script/plot of the show turned into reading material? Rather than the other way around.

Are there actually novels about the show? I did see mention of books based on the Governor earlier in this thread, had a look at them on Amazon but they didn't really appeal. However, if there were actually 'Walking Dead' novels then I'd love to read them.

Re: The Walking Dead

There are cannibals in the comics.

They cut of Dales leg and eat it in the comics while he watches.

Daryl and Merle were not characters from the comics.

Terminus is not in the comics

Yes there are novels from the writer of the Walking Dead. They tell The Governors story and are briliant. They do feature some of the other characters from the show but they are based on the comic, not the tv show.

The order of the novels is-

'Rise of the Governor'

'The Road to Woodbury'

Fall of the Governor Part 1'

'Fall of the Goveror Part 2'
