The Walking Dead

I don't get it. How come the walkers/biters are still able to walk around and be active even after 1-2y ears with absolutely no sustainance i.e food or water?

Re: The Walking Dead

because they're dead, they don't need those things bar for the occasional live breathing human or animal to munch on.

Not true. Everything needs energy to cause action. Dead or alive.

Re: The Walking Dead

You are over thinking it Bob, it's just a tv show albeit a good one but just that.

Re: The Walking Dead

I just came up with a brilliant idea for killing as many Walkers as possible. Create the loudest siren and fireworks in the middle of the city or field. It'll attract them to one spot. Then set off a bomb there. Voila. Why hasn't any of them thought of that.

Re: The Walking Dead

It was eluded to in the first season as having been tried and it failed, to many of them.

Trioxin zombies get what they need from living brains. There are other kinds of undead, some have a virus/parisite that uses the lifeless corpse as a host to seek other forms of sustanice. (Doctor Bowes Syrum) Others become a tool used by a supernatural force (necronomicon Exmortis, book of the dead) Then there is the puzzle box that works almost in the same way.

It's important to know what type of undead creature or creatures your dealing with. They all have the potiental for harming the living but some are less a danger, like the ones who actually do have a heartbeat, their heart beats once or twice a month. they can eat regular food for energy, but tend to prefer meat and have been known to get sick from non meat foods like donuts.

Every living person should check their pulse, blood pressure and or heartbeat once a week to verify that they are in fact still alive. Many of the walking dead don't even realize they are in fact dead right away.

Re: The Walking Dead

Thank you Joanie,

Just checked mine - decidedly alive.

May be a good idea to grab anyone close & check theirs also - kind of weed them out.
