I was a 'rude girl' and my boyfriend was a punk, with a very long mohawk. We went to the school formal- (no photos!) and I had my hair shaved to a number 2, I came home to get ready, and there was my mother sewing a bondage strap onto my boyfriends tartan trousers! She freaked out when she saw my hair- and refused to speak to me until it grew. I had to wear a hat, even indoors when I spoke to her.
Many years later we reminisced and laughed until we cried, but I must have been a terror to her. Just a bit. Miss you Mum.
My Nan told me she wouldn't speak to me until my black and orange stripes were cut off, my hair was a 2 or 3. I saw her in town the very next day and she couldn't ignore me but oh how she tried. I would bleach it white and dye it all sorts.
haha boris! Its too funny, remembering what I got up to..pretty tame, but lots of fun..lots of dancing and parties..The boyfriend had a car- he had already left school and had a job- yay..
Which bands did you listen to? I really liked The Specials and Dexys Midnight Runners..Madness..even a bit of Paul Weller..Bf was into The Clash, Sex Pistols (of course) Black Flag..
