Self-quarantine , a noble undertaking , consideration to one's neighbour and community , a civic duty - but how diligently completed ?
Consider the rate in which driver's are busted for speeding , year after year ..... and the rationale for.

One incubation period was found to be 24 days, but the WHO said this could reflect a 'double exposure'." Double exposure"?? It seems up to 14 days is the most agreed upon time for symptoms to appear. What concerns me is a person could be infectious for 14 days until they develop symptoms and self quarantine. The below link breaks down the incubation data:

The problem is that there is no absolute correct numbers available because it hasn't been around before and
studies may be from not enough cases to get a true number.
Hopefully they get it under control and they will then be able to correlate all the data to get more accurate
figures.

Call me dumb but my eyes seriously crossed before I came to the end of that link (no reflection on you nfs)
All it tells me is that so much about this virus is still supposition. It hasn't been around long enough for firm conclusions to be made.

Guys if Australia does not lock down completely the virus will never leave the country, no one in or out of the country, complete isolation is the only way

You really cant be that thick.

When people are uninformed or scared and ignorant of the nature of the beast they tend to fall for/rely on uniformed sources which seems to be "life saving". There has been a poster here suggesting that if you recover from from the virus then you are immune from it. A bit like saying that if you survive a car crash you are immune from future car crashes.. There is a lack of information about this virus that any miracle cures(as promoted by Trump and Fox news are more destructive than helpful) are the greatest problem. The best advice is to listen to legitimate health authorities and not Political Leaders(?) or spokesmen who are trying to upgrade their image as leaders or to cover up their mismanagement of a number of past issues. I've also wondered why we are now being told of relief package number THREE before Relief package number One has been implemented--After 31st March--and when is the end of the Financial Year--31st March--Budget figures more important that Relief....

I felt the same way. They just don't know yet. But it does bother me that people can be interacting with others for up to 14 days before they develop symptoms and the penny drops. It does seem that the only way to try and control this is to try and avoid contact.

The end of the financial year is 30 June in Australia.

I have been trying to keep up to date with the situation for many days. I've heard so many opinions expressed by so many people. But I worked out quickly that many of those opinions were driven by the wrong agendas. However, there were three bits of advice I locked in and constantly remind myself of. The best was to only 'listen to people who are credible and whose opinions are respected'. The rest I try to ignore, especially if their agenda is transparent.
