We should be talking about policies and achievements, instead the "journalists" are asking the same questions over and over; could not have put it better than this:

I stopped listening to Oakshott when he gave that forever speech at the start of the parliament...
Did you listen to what he said?
All he did was explain the reasons for his decision.
He has worked tirelessly for the people of his electorate and regional Australia in general. I would like to see him stand again and win.

Don't you mean Oakblot, he and Windsor are both turn coats and I will not be voting for the one in my electorate in September.
Yes, they are 2 conservative politicians who would have preferred to support the conservative parties, but after extensive consultations with Abbott they realized they could not with clear conscience work with him. Does it not say enough about TA?
I have a great respect for these men; as do many in their electorates. They are both total gentleman, and it is a pity that Oakeshott is retiring, although I do not blame him.

The disturbing spectacle of this Labor party trying to muzzle the free press, control the free press, limit our freedom of speech was writ large a few months ago when it nearly brought down Gillard, the witless Conroy was made to sheepishly withdraw his appalling bill.
As a lot of Labor supporters on here do, they bleat about the News Ltd press being partisan, but forget the Fairfax left wing press & the ABC ??
I don't think so.
The press is not to blame for what Labor has visited upon itself & trying to blame them beggars belief.
I wonder what they will say when the Conservatives make a misstep & it's reported in the press, will they cry BIAS then? I don't think so.
