Silverfaun, my comments about Gina are becasue, reading the posts throughout this forum a lot of posters make comments about her and people like her based on how they earn and spend their money.

I'm saying that I base my like/dislike of people on who they are as a person, not on their wealth.  She seems to be a scapegoat for all that's wrong with our country.

B1G:  "so far there has been no mention of the top 20% income "earners" in this country having to do any "heavy lifting......".  Or even the  bottom 20% doing any.

Actually that statement is wrong from a historical perspective as I do occasionally post this graph which is  "overlooked" by the pink myopics.

The world has given a lot to Bill Gates and he has given a lot back. If only more of the mega wealthy were like him, the world would be a much better place

and when was the last time any one heard Bill Gates lobbying the government for hand outs, lower taxes and to reduce his workers wages so he can make even more money and telling people they dont deserve any form of assistance or even a decent wage and that is why I think he doesnt cop a bagging and the likes of Gina and Tony do.

the hawk, my apologies this reply is not related to your post, I just could not work out how to post without hitting the last reply button. OMG even I realise how lame this sounds.

Anyway, the real question if the retirement age is raised to 70 and the workers comp insurance is adjusted to provide cover allowing more senior persons to remain in the work force, how will it affect the young people trying to find their first jobs. Surely the jobs that the older workers would traditionally have vacated are no longer available for the first timers.

Are there any stats on the repercussions this may have?
