Sob:_| its not fair you are all so talented, I don't have one talent bone in my body.
I come up with great ideas in my head but then when I try and do anything it ends up mosh.

Pfffffffffttttttttttttt ... if anyone can shrink that for me, I'd be greatful 🙂
MC, with jewellery making, you can achieve excellent results simply by knowing the basics ... what to buy and how to use the tools and materials.

MC a good idea would be to buy a couple of kits for things similar to your ideas to see how they are put together - then adapt your own ideas to that method.

I have tried the kit idea and it still ends up like mosh I even tried my hand at painting by numbers (embarrasing I know) and failed at that as well, mind you I was a lot younger.
My poor friend spent ages one day showing me how to fold a napkin into a lotus, in the end she gave up, I seem to have a communication problem between the grey matter and the hands.
The sad think is that I come from a talented family, my grand mother was the court seamstress to the Royal household, my mum makes the most beautiful cakes, by brother was a great artist and my sister does beautiful needle point,

MC, what would you like to make now? And, how do you learn?

Right now I would like to make furniture, I was going to look into a tafe course.
Thankfully my OH is supportive of everything I try so I always get encouragement from him. He is another talented person in my life.
I was inspired 20 years ago when my sister had her first baby to knit a teddy bear for my nephew, I was assured by the person in the wool shop that the patten she had given me was very easy as it was for beginners. Well the result was everything but a teddy bear so I went out and bought one instead. We still have a good giggle as a family whenever it comes up in conversation.

Is that real adult sized furniture? I know there is a really talented teacher in the ACT TAFE system. He does awesome work.
I like little things 🙂

Your talents sound quite similar to mine mainecoon. The family attempt at furniture making was from a plan for a barrister bookcase.
What we ended up with was quite different to the plan. It was a couple of planks of pine supported by two little columns of loose bricks.
I also loved painting by numbers :8} My last attempt was in oil paints. It was given to me by a young boy after he shot me in the arm with an air rifle.
I found the photo of the little beaded purses I crocheted. They were made with silk and seed beads and the pink beeded one is five inches long and just two inches wide.
