For many years now the world has been appalled at the destruction of Tibetan culture, religion, monasteries and the people of Tibet by China

In 1951 China invaded Tibet. In 1959, to save his peoples lives and his own, the 14th Dalai Lama escaped to India.

A brave Tibetan woman smuggled in a 5 minute video message from the Dalai Lama to his people. This is heartbreaking to watch.

I have never understood how so many counties have just turned a blind eye to what has happened in Tibet, it has always haunted me 😞

Me too Lionrose, it is unforgiveable and hopefully, one day, those responsible in China will pay for it all in more ways than one.

I'm with you Lionrose. It's the first thing I think of when anything regarding Tibet pops up.

I suppose it is simply that Tibet is of no strategic importance to any of the great nations who could intervene...
