A reminder of the debt that Australia has, while Labor can bury their heads and deny it exists the fact remains we have a huge problem with debt and sooner than later the chips will fall, no business, no state and no country can keep operating in the red, eventually those we own the money to will own us. Who will own us?
The state of Qld has debt of $80 billion dollars, Labor are saying they don’t think it’s that bad, Bill Shorten on Australia’s debt, there is no debt crisis, there is a crisis and we are in this situation because of Labor, no one else and the bottom line is Labor can’t fix this problem, their speciality is creating debt not fixing debt.

TONY Abbott has called on Australians to turn out in their millions for Anzac centenary commemorations.

IN a plea to those who have never been to an Anzac Day service, the prime minister said: "Please don't let this anniversary pass without attending one."

The best thing Australians could do to celebrate their country, honour its values, and support the men and women in the armed forces was attend a service, he told reporters in Canberra.

The PM, on his first trip to Turkey, was being given a tour of the Gallipoli battlefields.

Mr Campbell is on the peninsula to pay his respects to his father, George Campbell, an Anzac who fought the Turks back in 1915. It's his third visit.

The two chatted briefly about the conflict before Mr Abbott moved on to talk with another descendant.

Asked later how the meeting went, Mr Campbell chuckled for a while before revealing he was disillusioned with politicians from all parties.
They were always looking after themselves, he said.

"But he seems like a nice bloke.

"I'm more impressed now than I was. He's taller than I thought he was."

Some critics have suggested there's too much hype surrounding the 100th anniversary but Mr Campbell disagrees."After 100 years it's deserving," the Victorian said. "I don't think it's overdone."Others oppose the ballot system that restricted the crowd to 10,500.But again Mr Campbell says it was needed given the chaos he witnessed during the 90th anniversary in 2005.That year organisers played the Bee Gees hits Stayin' Alive and You Should be Dancing on big screens and young pilgrims got drunk and slept on graves."It was very untidy when I was here (in 2005)," the 92-year-old confirmed."The backpackers moved in the night before and left all of the rubbish on the ground. In Abbott’s address to the ceremony he spoke of the Anzacs as “tradesmen, clerks, labourers, farmers and professionals” — “ordinary men did extraordinary things”.

“They did their duty; now, let us do ours,” he said.

“They gave us an example; now, let us be worthy of it.”

FEDERAL Health Minister Tony Abbott admits he may appear a "cruel, callow, callous, heartless **bleep**" over not having his daughters vaccinated with the anti-cervical cancer drug, Gardasil.

Mr Abbott was today asked if he would have his three daughters vaccinated with the breakthrough drug, which has been controversially left off the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).

"I won't be rushing out to get my daughters vaccinated, maybe that's because I'm a cruel, callow, callous, heartless **bleep** but, look, I won't be," Mr Abbott told Southern Cross Broadcasting today.

"If there is a national immunisation program, I certainly will be making sure that they get vaccinated (with Gardasil) under the program.

"The program is what the experts think clearly is absolutely necessary, and at the moment the experts don't think this is absolutely necessary."

That's right, they were ordinary people working on ordinary jobs that went to war.  That's what makes it so sickening when that pathetic excuse for a human bathes in their glory.  Note the lack of medals on his suit..... yep, no medals handed down in his family of bludgers who ran away to avoid the draft in the UK.

The Prime Ministers speech is being lauded all over the world by heads of state.

 I was moved to tears and the emotion at that place must have been overwhelming.

What we are seeing here by a few is the leftist populism and the leftist hatred of all things conservative.

It's a shame they couldn't put away their hatreds for this one day and the 100 years commemoration of the event and stand up and thank  our men and women who lost their lives so that even they can reap the benefits of their sacrifice.

I'm ashamed of the hate and partisanship shown on here for Anzac Day.

Mr Abbott doesn't need to "have" his daughters vaccinated. Last I heard, they were grown up and in charge of their own lives fgs.
