For those interested, I include a link to a United Church of God site which very clearly tells of the history of the adoption of the Trinity Belief. It states what I have believed all along - that the doctrine IS NOT BIBLICAL and that ..... well, you can read for yourself.

you ran.I told you I would PROVE your so called scholars are wrong and you ran.You want to discuss the meaning of Scripture when you know we can go around and around.1+1 always equals 2.With that alone I will prove your so called scholars are wrongYou believe them.So you believe that Good Friday is the correct day.You claim that Jesus was crucified ona Friday. Therefore Clive I will tell you that NOTHING you say in relation to the Bible should be accepted. If you got such an easy thing wrong then why would anyone believe anything else you say?
The crucifixion was on a wednesday. That is straight from the Bible. You missed that yet want to tell us that you understand the hard parts?LOL!

This is from your link from UCG .
Why believe a teaching that isn't biblical?
This, in brief, is the amazing story of how the doctrine of the Trinity came to be introducedโand how those who refused to accept it came to be branded as heretics or unbelievers.
But should we really base our view of God on a doctrine that isn't spelled out in the Bible, that wasn't formalized until three centuries after the time of Jesus Christ and the apostles, that was debated and argued for decades (not to mention for centuries since), that was imposed by religious councils presided over by novices or nonbelievers and that was "decided by the method of trial and error"?
Of course not. We should instead look to the Word of Godโnot to ideas of menโto see how our Creator reveals Himself!

God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit
We believe in one God, the Father, eternally existing, who is a Spirit, a personal Being of supreme intelligence, knowledge, love, justice, power and authority. He, through Jesus Christ, is the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. He is the Source of life and the One for whom human life exists. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who is the Word and has eternally existed. We believe that He is the Messiah, the Christ, the divine Son of the living God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born in the human flesh of the virgin Mary. We believe that it is by Him that God created all things and that without Him was not anything made that was made. We believe in the Holy Spirit, as the Spirit of God and of Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the power of God and the Spirit of life eternal (2 Timothy:1:7; Ephesians:4:6; 1 Corinthians:8:6; John:1:1-4
; Colossians:1:16).
Plese explain to me(as you wont answer the easy questions) how it is that you do not find these two claims entirely contradictory?
You rely on these people to support your claim when they contradict themselves.

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
( Corinthians 1: 13)

ran? get off yourself.
scripture only goes around and around because you refuse to admit when you're wrong. The Trinity is a LIE, and I have proven it. I have shown you dozens of scriptures that PROVE it is a LIE. I have backed it up by showing historical evidence of the way it was introduced to the Roman Pagan dictated church. The Bishops that stood against what Constantine wanted were thrown out of the discussions, accused of herisy and worse. Now, you refuse to even comment on that PROOF - not even on the last SCRIPTURE - Yes scripture that disproves the Trinity.
You say my sources are unreliable - my source is The Bible.
You say that nothing I say in relation to the Bible should be accepted - when you yourself are embarrased by the fact that I proved to you through scripture that the Trinity is a lie. If you cannot see the simplest things, why should anyone believe anything you say.

what contradiction?
One God, one Lord Jesus Christ who is the Son of the living God, and the Holy Spirit which is the power of God.
