UNION CORRUPTION Secret report flags union ban

The royal commission is going to very interesting

Law enforcement agencies in NSW and Victoria have evidence that CFMEU officials have been given kickbacks, amid revelations that the federal government's building industry watchdog has flagged the possible deregistration of the union in a secret report.

Nigel Hadgkiss' cabinet-in confidence report was sent to the Victorian government last year and sets out recent conduct of the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union that could lead to its deregistration.

Fairfax Media can also reveal that the Australian Federal Police has assigned a commander to lead the operations wing of the royal commission on unions.

The AFP commander and two other federal police officers are this week being seconded to the royal commission and will be part of an investigation unit that is likely to be staffed with up to 30 detectives, forensic accountants and lawyers.

Federal Justice Minister Michael Keenan said the scope of the royal commission's investigation was yet to be finalised.

the corruption has been cleaned up as you put it.  the royal commission is something they are spending 100 million on in a bid for re-election .. nothing more. the corruption that has been cleaned up is due to good police work, something the coppers do best.. there's no need to spend a fortune on Buying:a second term .. it in itself is  corruption  Smiley Happy

Spoken like a true labor warrior/supporter who does not want the corruption exposed because they know whats there and how bad it is....   Just like little grubby fingers Bill (son in law of a DAME) who is up to his neck in the corruption

Its going to be wonderful to watch, like a slow motion train wreck as the unions and their Labor connections get taken apart

🙂 🙂

Donna, I am no stranger to hard yakka and i agree that the unions need close scrutiny, the faster the better.

In the past on several occasions attempts have been made to "persuade" me to be a union member when I was an employee and as an employer I was threatened  that if all my employees did not join the union "things would happen"

So I say bring on the Royal Commission 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Yes, that could be said about a lot of things in life. I've never belonged to one myself. I do know they are there to look after the workers though.

Re: UNION CORRUPTION Secret report flags union ban

an excerpt from todays ICAC

''

The ICAC alleges AWH falsely billed Sydney Water for expenses and used the money to fund exorbitant executive salaries and Liberal Party donations.

It has heard AWH was burdened by large tax debts and expenses that included pole dancing and chauffeur driven limousines.''

i wonder if arthur enjoyed the show...

its one thing to have associates and some unionists acting up so badly..  but a currently serving LNP senator Smiley Surprised
