Uniformed Australian Defence Force member attacked

Immigration gave us a country where the armed forces no longer dare wear uniforms in our street

This is no longer the Australia we knew.

This is no longer something to be dismissed as just a problem with a tiny, unrepresentative minority:

A MEMBER of the Australian defence forces has been assaulted and threatened by two men of Middle Eas...

The attack follows the knife attack on two police officers in Victoria that ended with an 18-year-old Islamic extremist being shot dead in Victoria.

NSW Police confirmed today that they were investigating the alleged attack on a member of the Australian Defence Force in full navy uniform at 6 o’clock this morning.

It is understood punches were thrown and threats of beheading were made.

A police spokesman confirmed the 41-year-old man allegedly suffered minor bruising in the attack and reported it later by telephone to Kings Cross police.

“The two men were described as being of middle eastern appearance,” the spokesman said.

Defence force families have already been put on high alert after an incident in Western Sydney in which two men of Middle Eastern appearance approached the house of a serving soldier and asked if defence force personnel lived there.

They left after the wife of the soldier told them “no”.

NSW Police have also been told to be “vigilant” following the Melbourne attack by radicalised teenager Numan Haider.

Re: Uniformed Australian Defence Force member attacked

Debra, the story was a little suspect from the beginning, I was waiting to see if the person responsible for informing all ADF members not to wear their uniform to and from work was going to be sacked for not taking the proper precautions in making sure all members were informed, relying on emails seemed a little slack - especially for employees who had been absent from work.

The mainstream  press and the govt are behaving very irresponsibly...

Just Don't Mention The Wars: Australian Media's Demonisation Of Muslims

What Sheehan, Devine and Bolt lack in knowledge about Australia's Muslim community, they make up for in imagination, writes Michael Brull.

I have previously noted the sheer weakness of the government’s case for the war on Iraq and possibly Syria. I was surprised that no coherent case has been made for sending troops and aircraft to Iraq, and patiently waited for some kind of substantive arguments to be made.

Now, I am starting to think this is no accident. I don’t think we will ever hear a sober, extended argument about why Australia should join the fighting against ISIS. The real case for war is being made through innuendo, fear, and cheap sloganeering.

Maybe the defence force member had some pressure from above. (To withdraw their statement).

Can't 'offend' the Muslims.

Re: Uniformed Australian Defence Force member attacked

It could also be that he was in a fight, nothing to do with Muslims .we'll have to wait for more information to come out before jumping to any conclusions. Or he could've just lied to cause trouble, the possibilities are endless really

Re: Uniformed Australian Defence Force member attacked

I tend to agree with your first sentence.

This naval  person now has not only the State Police questioning him, he will also have to accept the seemably harsher law of the ADF and possible psychological tests, etc.

Why would he be disciplined if he's just doing what he was told to as in that scenario?
