Re: Unusual names for pets...

This is "Garage", but we call him Gary for short! .... Smiley Very Happy

He was given that name because he was dumped down the side of our garage when he was about 4 months old and we adopted him, he's ten years old now.

Re: Unusual names for pets...

We had a brown & gold Border Collie with crazy yellow eyes called “Gently”, named after the books written by Alan Hunter, this was way before the TV Series.  Then an absolutely regal Basenji (South African barkless dog), my Daughter called him “Sebastian” or Sebbie for short, they're both probably playing with your "Tyson"  nicnacs and having a great time.

Re: Unusual names for pets...

My ringneck is called Gilbert. I took him to the vet yesterday and the head nurse asked me his name, I said Gilbert and head nurse replied

"hmm Gilbert, of course it  is."

Gilbert isnt unusual for a bird is it? He named himself on the way home from the breeder. My friend was holding him, OH said Gilbert, friend repeated it Gilbert looked right up at him. Had no choice really 😄

My daughters rescue cat named Basil after Faulty Towers, because of his funny antics that made us laugh so much. Now Basil too is in animal heaven, propably teasing Tyson.

Re: Unusual names for pets...

I once cared for an injured lorikeet which couldn't fly straight.   I called it F-111.

Changed its name when it used to spray its seeds all over the place for fun.

Changed its name to the biblical Onen....casting its seed upon the ground.

Mate had a dog named -Humper.

Would stay in the background til a visitor bounced a tennis ball ---set up.

This was the signal for -Humper to appear and latch onto their leg.

Took 2 big blokes to prise him off lol......................Richo.

Don't be too concerned Richo.   It is a domination thing.

He reaction is ho hum.
