As kids we had a huge black and white long haired cat called Bushy, because he was a feral who decided a regular feed was better than living in the bush. He was so large he used to push me over when I crouched down to pat him. lol.
The neighbours had a cat called Clematis because he climbed everywhere.

We have had many pets - horses, dogs, cats, snakes, canaries, rabbits, turtles and fish but the names I remember most are:
Otto, Duke, Winston (Winny), Stickers, Milo (Miller) and Indiana (Indy) all dogs of various breeds.
We then have cats - Mitchie, Jack - I adored him, Lloyd, Mishka, Patch, Annie, Harry, Monty (Best mouser and biggest ginger tom we have had), Edward because my daughter thought she was a boy, now called Eddie, Cami, Puddle and Minx - all cats.
We have had hens, ducks and canaries. The was only canary that had a name - Pepe all the rest were birdie.
The ducks were Lucy and Luke, Indiana and Cheyenne. Hens were Ethel, Maggie, Henny Penny and some other weird names I can't remember.
The snakes are Wilson and don't know the other one - both daughters have them.
The rabbit is called Cunny - very original!!
A budgie called Floyd.
Horses were Fox, William, St Stephen, Princess, Morgan, and three others I can't remember.
I guess you could say my family likes animals.

After telling my daughters about my post, they reminded me that we had fish (unfortunately they all died) and a guinea pig whose name was Bobby.
I have photos of all our pets for my family history book/dvd I am trying to put together.
My daughters are actively involved in protecting animals now and I am very proud of that.

I know a woman who had a Pekinese called Dame Edna. I say had, because the dog is now in a maximum security twilight home in the sky. Sad isn't it ?

What "on earth" did it do to earn the "maximum security"? Did it keep running away? Did it have outrageously shaped glasses? And the wit of Barry Humphries?

I can't imagine what you may have called a Great Dane.
