I am wondering how much the demise of bees is due to insectides....I don't use it because I know the damage it does to the environment. And, of course, planting foreign plants instead of natives is not good.. Australian bees have evolved to suit our native plants.

Countessa, the commercial ones only last 12 months then are cut down. They only flower once each plant. Not sure about the domestic ones. Hope it flowers again for you.

I am lucky that I am able to get my honey direct from the local honey man.
Different types of honey from different hives. And cheaper than supermarket honey which is like thickened sugar and water.
This is why I asked the question re. bees from one hive only collection from one source.
