WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Top left turned out to be one of my regularly used row 2 eliminators.

I could also see instantly what bottom left must be, because of the consonants I had and vowels that I DIDN’T have.

That led to top right - very obviously.

But I couldn’t be certain of bottom right without a specific eliminator.

I started off so well…! I guessed at least two words with less frequently used letters, and was on a roll. Then I came to a point where any possible word-to-be-solved had more than 3 possible answers, and I couldn’t count on luck without risking the whole thing. I needed another eliminator at row 5.

Ah well, at least I then had the bottom two words right where I wanted them, and from there I could work out the remaining words.

With the bottom right, I was struggling till I wrote it down in hangman format, with the letters it couldn't be underneath. Then it jumped out at me that there was only one spot 'r' could go. Easy then.

I don't know why I can see it clearly on paper sometimes but not on screen.

This is about as good as it gets for me. I started with 3 eliminators and after them, it was just a game of dominoes as all the words were reasonably obvious as I went along. Plus there weren't several alternatives to trip me up. Lucky day!

Well, this one threw me a curve ball.

I had never heard of the word on the bottom left. 

I had sorted out exactly which vowels could and could not be in it, so that cut out a couple of letters that could potentially go on the end. I really thought I had it on turn 6. At least #6 helped me solve the top right.

But that bottom left, none of the letters I had left would normally follow the 4th letter so I had go with what I had. I'm sure countess will have heard of this word but I had to look it up afterwards.
