WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

This worked out reasonably well for me.

American spelling alert for the first word though.

Second word, I only had 2 letters right to the end, but they were two vowels that often go together and by then, I had eliminated most consonants, so I could have a guess.

I’m so glad that my second row word ruled in two consonants that helped with the top left word… otherwise I’d have had to play another eliminator at row 6.

I so nearly had the top right word at my second row…! Two possibilities remained for first letter, so I left it until last in the hopes of eliminating one.

That top left is an annoying US spelling.

I don’t think we’ve seen block 3 right before…

Another good start, but I ran out of Wordleish puff by row 5 and needed an eliminator. I felt reasonably certain then of top right, and bottom left was narrowed to only a few possibilities.

I had most of the letters early on and yet I was trying out words I knew could not be 'it' because I was just stumped.

I haven't really heard of that word as such. The first 4 letters, yes. And with other endings. But I haven't seen that particular one used. We live and learn.

Is it just me or is that word on the right having a bit of a revival on all the word games? I feel as if I have seen it a fair bit lately.
