I recently stumbled across WORDLE online. For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.
https://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/
This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:
Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though). Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words. I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts. Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I guessed 2L at row 2, with a suspicious mindset about the last letter.
Then I played an eliminator - SOILY. Based on where a letter could not go, I had a stab at 1R and could also solve 3L.
By now it was obvious what 4R must be, and as a result of playing that, I knew what 4L must be. In turn, that gave me 3R. By the time I came to 2R, there was only one possibility, and I now turned my attention to the final block, 1L. There could be only one answer.

TRACE was my starter, with LOUIS as my first eliminator. Guessing the RH word was easy, and as for the LH word, I had two choices for the first letter. It could have gone either way.

It’s s new day.
A new cold dark day. Outside, a swathe of greyness dims the reluctant morning, and the birds are silent. Ah, no, I hear a lone throat now… it is burbling a chirping cry.
So… let us Wordle forth.

If I post the eliminator that I used, the answer would be obvious. But it is very clear.

The 3rd word is an eliminator as I wasn't feeling it. You can probably even guess what it was. And it did help me a lot.
Bot made me laugh today though. He told me that my 3rd word was 'guaranteed to eliminate every word but one but it couldn't solve the puzzle given what was learned from my previous guesses'.

I was happy with this but the funny thing is, I used an eliminator on turn 4 and looked across the board and was quite happy with it as it exposed several letters in various squares.
But it wasn't till the very end when I was clicking on the 'share' tab that I saw the list of word answers and thought, hang on, that eliminator was an answer for one of the squares? I had not noticed at all.

That is bizarre! The eliminator left only one word but it couldn’t solve the puzzle…? I think the bot must have been at the brandy.

I had trouble at row 9; it just seemed to be a huge morass of stonewalling and I needed another eliminator.

The stupid thing is, the actual answer is one I was tempted to try on turn 4.
But my mind was ticking over, saying jolly/lolly/dolly/golly/folly or maybe even lobby, oddly, lowly.
So I thought.. can't risk it. I went with godly instead, which did allow me to cross out quite a few possibilities.
Bot was in my corner to some extent. He liked godly and was quite sympathetic on my last turn as he said I had eliminated most but now was in the unenviable position of just having to pick one of the possibilities and guess.
