WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

After turn 1, I made a small list of possible words and considered trying for an eliminator to cut down on things but in the end, I went with my first guess as it used 2 new letters and none of the eliminators i could think of were using more.

At least my word was in with a chance! And yes, I did have feelings of deja vu and thought-wasn't this on octordle recently? I swear the puzzles feed off each other!

Easy enough but I outguessed myself in one section and made a mistake in another!

I made the mistake on #4 or 2R, where all I could think of was deter. Which of course was wrong. Then I realised-oh, American spelling.
Then for #1, I was initially convinced it was going to be lilly but held off.
It was with trepidation I solved #7 as I guessed broom and got it right, but it could have been groom. But that B in first place showed up on #1 so I changed my thoughts to billy.
And that's were I outguessed myself. I thought-billy is a very Australian sort of word, would they use it? 
What about bilby? (Yes, Australian too but... ) so I changed my thinking at the last moment and tried bilby.
Ah well.

I feel as if I have been given the gift of time today. Normally I would be over looking after 2 of the grandkids 7am-5pm but both are sick and parents both staying home. I got the call at 6.30am as I was on the road (pulled over, rang back) and came home. So here I am, washing on line, playing word games, going over to Fountain gate soon. Decadent.
Apparently it was windy last night. Son said he thought the house was going to take off. I never noticed. heard nothing without aids in!🤣

Pure luck to get it in two today.
After my first turn, I felt the pattern was probably _aint

I only chose faint because my grandson fainted today, after a bout of vomiting.😔 so the word was on my mind. But it could have been saint or paint and maybe other words, though I couldn't think of others, offhand.

I was lucky today with my 2 starters as I was able to start solving from turn 3 and one word led to another.

I think several of these words have been out a few times before and as for #3, wasn't that just out a couple of days back or am I going mad?

I needed another eliminator towards the end, for inspiration. Shouldn't have. It was to solve what turned out to be another repeat word.
