WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

This was full of traps. I don’t know whether I’d have done better with a different eliminator; I only know that this was littered with those words that could have these two letters or those other two letters, and this letter or that letter.

I make enough mistakes as it is, and here was one where I actually knew the answer and still got it wrong! 🤣

I am having a slight problem with my keyboard in the I can't type except with 2 fingers, and several of the letters have worn off the keyboard. If I ignore it, I can usually get the letters right from memory if I just try typing, but not always. Three of the letters have gone completely and another nine are only partially there. AET aare the ones completely gone. R & S are hanging on by a thread.😁

So I guess we know what letters are the most used!

I can't blame my mistake on the keyboard though as the V is pristine, though the C is partial.

Decisions, decisions, with multiple choices on most of the words.

I made a couple of mistakes along the way.

#4 I tried scrub as I  didn't think of scrum till afterwards. 

#6 I tried share instead of shear.

So by the time I got to my second last turn, I was looking at #1 but I still had 3 possibilities-brake/brave/braze. I thought the last one was more remote but I wasn't quite game to just go for it so I tried another eliminator (knave).

So.. I got through by the skin of my teeth today. 

PS editing as it said 33 possibilities instead of 3. That's another annoying thing about the keyboard. It tends to spit out double of some letters/numbers when I have only tapped the letter once.

After my first turn, I figured there were only certain letters that it could start with, but the list was fairly long. In order, BCFGPS. I really needed to know what vowel was in it.
Some possible answers I had in mind ended in sh or th eg sloth/slosh/flush so I used south as second word instead of shout.
3. comfy. I thought the answer might have a c,m or f eg bluff, cluck, clump
4.  I thought I probably had it solved-plump
5. Finally!

On turn 3, tried smelt instead of spelt for #7 Got it right next turn, but the damage was done.

I was pretty sure of what #6 was much earlier and I suspected the answer for #8 was novel but it could have been loner so i waited till near the end, when fritz eliminated the possibility of R in #8.
