WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

All easy enough, my only crime was start with 3 eliminators and solve from turn 4. I just wasn't certain of any before then and didn't want to waste a guess.

PS Re fritz yesterday, these people love slang and American spelling. I think fritz has been out before, somewhere. That's the only reason I think of some of these words.

Well. well, well.

I was just doing the various octordle versions (and I did better in extreme than I did in daily today😂)

but would you believe, in the sequence game, vying was one of the answers.

What are the odds?

After my first turn, I suspected an er ending so my second word was short instead of shout.
So then the pattern seemed likely to be _O_ER  but that still left it wide open. 

I fancied a lot of words that had W or Y in the middle, such as foyer or power so word 3 was jowly, then coped (by then I thought it might be cover or poker)
Next up was rover.
By then I had hardly anything left and got it. I felt a bit silly as we have seen that word before in games but I just didn't think of it today.

I derailed on turns 5 and 6, trying to get #2
I had used an eliminator (fudgy) on turn 4.
In hindsight I should have moved on to #7 as that was obvious by then but I was focused on #2 & I had eliminated fusty/dusty and gusty so I thought, aha, musty and rushed in but of course it wasn't, it was rusty.
The rest went okay but the damage was done.

Didn't have enough information to start solving after turn 2 so went for a 3rd eliminator (pricy).
Made a mistake on turn 9  #8 when I tried might.
After that, I knew it was out of tight/wight  but later tried tight as I felt that was more likely. Wrong.

I am glad I held off with #3 as I thought drill/frill/krill were all possibilities but towards the end, was able to eliminate the first 2.
