WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I didn't have the world's best start and the field was still wide open, so i went with my usual second word because there were a lot of possible answers that could have contained one or more of those letters.

It was a case of 3rd time lucky.

*I was going along as per normal but made a mistake on #8 at turn 7. I tried niece.
I probably should have written down my thoughts along the way as straight after getting it wrong, I thought, oh yes, I initially had that tagged as maybe mince or wince.
A couple of turns later, I tried another eliminator (bumfs, which I find useful from time to time) and that solved the others nicely.

In the extreme version, I got 64. That's because I started with 3 eliminators then made a mistake part way through (bland instead of gland). In hindsight, I should have gone with misty at turn 3, as I had it written down as the only one I could think of, but usually there are loads that I hadn't thought of. Oh well, got through them all, so not a bad day!

I went (slightly) off course today. The position of the green made me think that the letter R was likely to be in the word.

It could have been shirt or chirp, but it could have been a lot of other things as well, so in the end I went with pricy as eliminator.

I am happy with this.  Most of the words followed on, one from the other, but at the end I had to make a  choice between rarer and raver.

In the extreme I got 60. I didn't start solving till turn 4. I could see that #8 had to be spout/scout/stout and none of the other words boxes were clearly only one thing so I went with pricy on my 3rd turn.

There were a couple of surprises on the way for me. I looked at #2 and thought, what? The letter H without an S/C/P in the word and the H is not at the start? So that was quick to solve after that.

Right near the beginning, I had written down latex for #3, along with later. 

It will probably pop up in the classic version soon.
