WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I hope you are feeling a lot better today.

I know what you mean by trying an eliminator when it is just down to two, as you might as well have a go and have a 50/50 chance, I suppose. My worry is always there might be something else lurking that I haven't thought of-it has happened to me before. And I invariably seem to choose the wrong 50.😂

You've taught me a new word meaning anyway. I was just looking over some of your past posts and saw you wrote ralph and didn't want to think about it.

So I looked up the meaning of ralph as to me, it has always just been a name. Main answer that came up was wisdom and strength, but an informal meaning was to vomit.

Poor Ralph. It is the male equivalent of Karen then in name appeal. Perfectly good names that have been ruined.

My wordle today shows my impeccable talent for making wrong choices.

This was one of those days when I was not overwhelmed with inspiration at the start, but there was enough information for me to begin solving, at least in one spot, by turn 3. And with each word solved, the others gradually became clearer.
Till the end.
I was stuck on #6. It was obvious from much earlier on that it was either grout or trout.
So I concentrated on #2 and all I could think of was sable. Naturally, as soon as I got it wrong, the correct answer was obvious. 
And I tried to second guess #6 as I am sure trout was out a little while ago and I thought they might try it again.
Ah well, I feel happy with 55 as I had no sure fire way to know either #2 or 6.

This is another one where I wasn't feeling inspired at all after my first turn, but I was able to start solving from turn 3 and each move seemed to help with another word.
I was a bit reluctant to try tulle as that seems to have been out a few times lately but I couldn't think of anything else, so I tried it anyway.
So in the end, this game was easier for me than the classic.

But 52 is about as low as I can go unless I get a fantastic break.
