WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I was like a goat on a tiny tiny path on a mountainside with debris falling away with each hoofprint. Wrong choices abounded! And at that, I was still relatively lucky.

Now you're probably thinking.. well, she took a bit more care with this one at least, but this worries me too.

Obviously after the classic, it was my warning to slow down and pay a bit more attention. I took a risk on #5 because I thought, what have I got to lose, I have already wrecked things this morning. clean or glean-glean seems more of the unusual one so I'll go with that.
But what worries me is turn 4. By then I had run out of ideas so went for shout.
Here's the thing though. I had absolutely no idea it was actually an answer till the very end when I was looking at the score and glancing at the answers. I saw shout there and thought.. what?
My only excuse is I don't pay attention to the solved ones much, only the ones I still need to work on. All the same, I was going slowly so it worries me I didn't notice.
Normally I would be excited with a 44, but not today.

I would probably have tried whelk before whelp… but the right guess is all you need, and you played the whole thing through superbly.

I never even thought of whelk at the time. I didn't play it superbly, didn't even notice that shout was an answer till it was over, done and dusted.😂

After my first turn, I was convinced the yellow E would be at the end.

I didn't use shout as all I could think of was shine/spine and... no N in it. I highly doubted there was another vowel, but then again,  my impulses are often incorrect.

Anyway, I convinced myself R was probably in second place-crime, prize, prime, grime etc

So my second word was price.

Then fudgy.

And I almost went for deify, it was a close run thing.

I got a fair way down then felt I needed another eliminator, as was it gloss/floss for #1 or score/spore/swore for #6
I used flips. Not ideal. I would have liked a word with maybe f c w or fcp or gcp etc but darned if I could think of anything. Luckily, flips helped.

By the time I got to turn 5, I didn't see any clear cut answers. I was almost going to go with **bleep** for #1 but decided on fudgy as eliminator. Just as well. I had also thought #3 might be brink.
After that, things went okay but at the very end, I still wasn't sure-abode or adobe.
The score got pushed out though for using another eliminator so early in the game, but at least-under 60. Can't complain.

PS My almost guess for #1 was c   hink. It has been bleeped out. I don't consider it to be a rude word. I started doubting my sanity and even just googled it to check and yes, a **bleep** of light, it has a normal meaning.
I know it can be used as derogatory slang but the real meaning is surely fine.

Am I imagining things, or has lemur been out not too long ago? And titan?
I often play wordle unlimited (fast and furious, popcorn style) so sometimes I forget where I have seen the words.
I felt in need of another eliminator towards the end (fudgy)
#6 took me a while to figure out, my mind wanted to go with rabid. I knew that was wrong but took me a while to move the i on.
