I recently stumbled across WORDLE online. For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.
https://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/
This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:
Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though). Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words. I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts. Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

major, not majot. But the system will not allow me to revise. It does this sometimes, to punish me for not being more careful in the first place!

Had I tried to solve 4L (SLYLY) before 2L (OMBRE), I’d probably have played SLUMP, and that would have wrong. OMBRE was conducive to being solved, and the rest is history.

At first, I thought my lucky start would be the only solved word without an eliminator. The whole thing continued with such ease (after I took the SPEAK risk) that I I performed little mental skips of glee.
But I did need an eliminator after QUOTA. I had only a yellow A, a yellow N and a green final E for 3L: also, a single yellow L for 1L. To maximise the chances of getting the correct letters from the pool of remaining unplayed ones, I used MIDGY. Ding! Bullseye! MANGE revealed itself… and also it was clear that 1L was _ILLY. I had to risk another guess - but all went well.

Spoiler
As you'll see, I started off well, with solving a word on my second turn.
After that, I used shout but I was still in a happy mind frame.
Till the end.😟
I looked at #3 and letters in play and immediately thought... broke, I have got it!
I even typed in broke and was about to press enter when I thought, no no no, there is no B in first place.
Disaster averted, lucky I saw that trap in time!
So I thought.. has to be probe then.. isn't it lucky I didn't type in broke!
I quickly entered probe, only to realise, idiot! The O could not go there, it was no more possible than broke.
Solved eventually but not a proud moment.😂
Oh no! The old avoided-one-trap-only-to-fall-into-another-trap trick! That’s the third time I’ve avoided that this week! 😄
Luckily you had that head start. You still had an excellent result.

SpoilerMy major mistake was using another eliminator on turn 3. I feel that if I had focussed more on #2, I should have solved it on turn 3 as I never received much more in the way of useful information for this word after turn 2 anyway so should have solved it way earlier.
I was hung up on #6, thinking scout or spout & it ended up being neither.
Slight risk on #8 as I think I was debating speak or spade.
Then the very next turn, another eliminator (badge). Forget exactly why-think I was trying to cover a few more letters to get a clue.
Hmmm… Yes, you could have solved #2 with what you had, because of where the U was not allowed to go. But you would probably have needed either a lucky guess or another eliminator on the next round to go forward.
I just realised I’d ignored the possibility of SHOUT in my solving. I didn’t rule it out for a logical reason - just gut instinct. But I did have the benefit of having ruled out C, P, N, so of course you used PRICY!
