My belief is this:
I believe that planet earth is only a colony of a much greater super-earth, our origin is from there. We have simply been planted here we just don't know it yet. I'm sure this is what will be discovered in the future.
Which begs the question, where did the aliens on this 'super-earth' come from? Did they evolve, were they created by God? Or were they 'planted' on the super-earth by yet more aliens from a 'hyper earth'?
It all sounds a bit like the old rhyme:
Big fleas have little fleas upon their backs to bite 'em,
And little fleas have lesser fleas, and so ad infinitum
(Only in this case it's in reverse order IYKWIM)
