I’m back on night shift tomorrow for 3 weeks, so here’s to another hours travel each way, once again. Night driving, makes it hard to see the potholes for what they really are. Now add rain and dense cloud cover on top of that… 😩
We are expecting heavy torrential rains tonight and lasting 3 days, it’s been muggy and steamy all day, the usual tell-tail signs that rain is a coming! 😞
That sounds dire. Take care. I hate night driving, especially in rain. Hopefully things will start to improve soon.
We have very light rain here but nothing bad, thank goodness. (SE Melb)

Thought people might enjoy this, it seems 'on theme'.

For me it's the head. I get a terrible headache when the weather is crazy, even when it doesn't look so bad - I know something is coming when my head is about to explode!

Thanks Springy,
luckily, we didn’t get the downpours expected/ forecasted….. thank goodness. Water over the rd to work has now subsided. First 2 nights I was ‘escorted’ through the water by traffic control. Last night, drove through by myself as water was minimal now. This morning coming home, the water was almost gone, but at the sides of the rd, it’s like mini dams. Oh, and the smell! 🤢

Janebabe, I was thinking about your perilous driving back and forth. Please take care and stay safe. As you know, elevated stress can cause an additional layer of fatigue, and there’s no doubt driving in the current conditions that you’ve described would be highly stressful.
I wish there were a way to send you some additional de-stressing and physical de-fatiguing, and to make the roads safe for everyone (as well as properties).

Thanks Countess….. I’m on a 3 week stretch this time, so longer than usual.
I drive like an old lady now 😂…
