You can post one x-ray, ultrasound, mri just for the heck of it, but it won't be elligible for the final count. (unless you're a radiographer)

A few years ago I helped an old fellow in his late 80s by taking him home from the shopping centre after he became quite ill and he was so grateful that he hand-made this tiny ship in a bottle with my name on it. I was so touched by his kind gesture that it is one of my most highly-prized possessions, especially as he has now since passed away (the 20c coin is to give perspective).

I really should stop and think things through before posting. I get a thought in my head and forget to look at the bigger picture.
So, a scan of a medical image wouldn't not be 'original work' but taking a photo of the medical image would be, wouldn't it?
