This was my grandparent's home. It is more than fifty years since my grandfather passed away, and the home is now derelict. When I look at the photo I don't see the decay, I see the Black Boy climbing rose that grew on the side fence, the huge patch of violets beside the gate. The family Christmas gatherings, and running around and playing with all my cousins (some of whom have passed away now.)

This certificate was awarded to my paternal grandmother when she successfully completed grade 6 at Tallangatta State School (Victoria) in 1909.

I've just had a question regarding old photos and the rules for this challenge.
I'll post my reply here
I haven't had my 2nd morning cuppa yet so wasn't thinking clearly enough when posting the rules.
I was thinking of a handcoloured photo of my mother that I would like to show off. I only have an image that my niece scanned from the original, so by itself it is not elligible for voting.
If you take a photo of an old photo that is fine. One that is hanging on your wall or sitting on your dressing table etc.
If you post a photo that is a scan of an old pic that would come under the Two post rule.
I was worried about being inundated with entire family albums LOLs,
I really do make things hard for myself, don't I 😕
Clear as mud?
So, basically if you have a collection of old family photos that have been scanned from slides or film, and reside on digital media (cd,s disc drives etc) then you can share your 2 favourite ones. (assuming you didnt take the original)
If you take a photo of a hard copy, that will be considered an original pic.
(phew, did I get out of that one ok?)
