Re: Weekly photo challenge. Theme is TREASURED TRINKET

Having recently commenced tracing my ancestry, and chatting to my relatives, I was given an original framed photograph of my great great grandparents.(Maternal side)  I am ecstatic about it.

They came to Australia from Ireland with their families, met and married in Forbes NSW in 1866. They had 11 children.
I have photos of family, going back 8 generations now  Heart

My next step is researching the Irish ancestry registry...

I present Annabella (Thorpe) and Mark Fitzgerald

Re: Weekly photo challenge. Theme is TREASURED TRINKET

My father was a Merchant Seaman all his working life.  He travelled the world, with work.
He bought me this glassed encased doll from Japan and gave it to me on my 12th birthday. (A LONG TIME AGO NOW)  *sigh*

It is one of my most treasured items from my father, as he wasnt a big part in my life growing up. (I had a wonderful step-dad though) so i was lucky in that sense.
When I die, it will be donated to the Japanese Museum at Cowra NSW.
