During the drought a beekeeper dropped his boxes off on the stock route near our place. He didn't check the little creek for water. It was dry. No-one knew who owned the bees or how to contact the bloke, so for three weeks I had these bees visiting from daylight to dusk. They made it impossible for the birds to drink, I had to hide the dog dish from them, they were in the laundry and up the taps, anywhere they could find water, poor little things. We had to wait until dark and they had gone home to bed before we could use the shower.

I used to blame the dog for digging holes in my garden, turned out it was this girl trying to find a a good spot for her eggs.
