Az, is there anywhere near you where you can do hydrotherapy? The water supports most of your weight and it is amazing how much you can work your muscles then!
I also have the dreaded arthur - itis.... pretty well everywhere except my feet! (for which I am very thankful. My dear Aunty had it there and she really struggled with mobility so I can understand how tough it can be for you).
And can I just add that unlike any other "addiction", stopping this "drug" will definitely kill you.
Exersize so far today : weeding garden beds (it has stopped raining!)... and when it is a ittle cooler I will mow the lawn then take the dogs for a short walk (that's the plan, though the clouds are building up again as I type....)

Good luck to everyone trying to lose weight its not easy.
I'd like to lose another dress size or 2 but I'm fairly happy with the way I feel now, I'm by no means a skinny minnie though but thats ok.

We have a pool, so I do swim. I don't do public water facilities 🙂
The weird thing is, the arthritis in my foot is less severe than in my hips and spine, yet the pain is worse in my foot?

I've just bought an exercise bike and I'm going to use it in a way that I saw in a doco on telly.
8 seconds of full on cycling and 12 seconds of slow, apparently its really good.
I think it would suit my body.

I saw a study done recently that showed alternating your diet...1 week on, one week off promotes weight loss by not putting your body into a mode where it thinks it needs to store calories.

Yeap i agree with that.............I'll be so strict during the week and ease up weekends, but not stupidly.

That's good Crystal because I just had the most calorie laden pasta meal I have ever made. Soooo good. Tagliatelle with mushroom and sun dried tomatoes in a garlic, cream and wine sauce.
