I saw this posted on my Facebook page. So much for his promise to stop the boats. Seems like we might have a few more landing on our shores now.
SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES: There could be an influx of asylum seekers in the wake of Australia’s spying scandal.
A senior Indonesian immigration official has apparently told local media he will no longer take measures to stop asylum seekers trying to reach our waters.
We’ll bring you full political coverage tonight in our evening bulletin on Channel 9.

Do you think it is not cruel to put cattle/sheep on ships, where they spend weeks in small area, in equatorial heat? Do you know that many die en route? Then they are taken to another feed lot, where they stay until they are taken to abattoirs, and during this time nobody can really safeguard that they are not abused.

I have never burned an effigy of anybody, and have no intention to start now. But I have a right to point out what I think of our PM's performance. The fact is that he was unable to get on the phone and have a grown up diplomatic discussion with head of another country, which was interpreted as another snub by the Indonesians. Now he composed a letter, no doubt with help of his advisers, hope it was somebody who know what he/she is doing.

No amount of excuses and blame will help Abbott through the incompetent stuff ups he's managed to embarrass Australia with, he's out of his depth.

Haha KG, good point. He's only been in power 12 weeks, has already plummeted in the polls, wrecked diplomatic relations with our closest neighbour, broken all electoral promises and put back equality 50 years.
He'll have to drag his daughters out to save him, if he keeps up this rate of destruction.
Lets just hope he keeps one promise....the dissolution....crossing fingers.
Why are you dragging his daughters into this argument, Karen?

No argument there, Nova.
Others also have a right to their opnion, even if it doesn't concur with yours, doesn't mean you have the right to ridicule.
