Wet n Wild?

It seems some people are raging about NYE party cancellation.

Did they really cancel or is it a hoax?

Re: Wet n Wild?

Jamberoo Park spent a few $m on new rides in the last few years. I am not sure when you last went their meep. I have never been there. Our kids went there with school.. if they had good attendance and behaviour at school all year.. they got a day at Jamberoo Water Park as a reward at the end of the year.

Will the interest wane in the Winter for a water park in Sydney? The weather here is not  as warm as QLD.

I think Jamberoo water park will still be a good option for families with smaller children. The under 110cm  kids, that can't go on some of the more exciting rides at Wet n Wild anyway as they don't meet the height requirements.

I didn't think it would be open during Winter.

There seems to be enough fun for the kids;

Wet’n’Wild Junior is a huge zone dedicated to the little adventures of Wet’n’Wild Sydney. Featuring 10 kid-friendly water slides including miniature versions of our larger thrill slides this amazing area will keep the kids entertained all day. Wet’n’Wild Junior also features the southern hemisphere’s largest tipping bucket, a kid-sized river and interactive splash pads making it the perfect spot designed especially for kids.

Re: Wet n Wild?

umm,, you don't see a problem with that, if the majority of people do the same thing?

Yes, I can see the problem but as I said, it is the case with a lot of popular venues and I anticipte it won't be as busy later on.

Weren't the charges for Wet n Wild for a child under 110cm.. no mention of any ages or free entry.

All guests ages 4yrs+ are required to purchase a Single Day Admission to enter the water park. Children 3yrs and under do not require any form of admission to enter the park and can simply accompany their party through the entrance.

Re: Wet n Wild?

Wet n Wild Gold Coast is open everyday except Chrismas Day and ANZAC Day.

Season pass for Jamberoo $90.

If Wonderland failed through lack of patronage in a city with 4+m people, then I wonder about Wet n Wild.. it is closed from April until ?.

Later on when it isn't school holidays.. who is going to go there in the day time/week days?  Families paying $200-250 to get in. Plus parking, pus food costs?

Older people generally aren't interested in a water park, whereas they may go to places like MovieWorld or DreamWorld.

By December 22, Wet'n'Wild had sold 155,000 season passes at $124.99 for a gold pass and $99.99 for a silver pass. Day entry costs range from $54.99 to $69.99.

Blacktown resident Sandra Tangata-Toa paid $380 for a gold season pass for her family in November but said she was unlikely to renew her commitment next year. ''I think the park is great but there are a lot of hidden costs, like the $10 charge for using the lockers," she said.

Sydney Wet n Wild : Fees for parking, food, merchandise, locker rentals, Fast Pass, pay-per-ride attractions (The Surf Deck and Sydney SkyCoaster), special concerts or events are not included in the cost of any admission.

Re: Wet n Wild?

Thanks Am.  $125 for a season pass is not too bad.

I have no idea who attends the W&W parks during weekdays outside holidays.   How many are there in the world?  How popular are they?

I am glad we have one closer to home without having to travel interstate.

I guess we will just have to wait and see how it goes.

Re: Wet n Wild?

$125 is for one person. A family is $380.

Parking is included in Gold Season pass.

If you have a season pass and can't get into the park on the day you want to go.. that must be frustrating. Also frustating for people who want to buy a season pass but there are none left for this season. They are forced to pay $70 for an adult, single day.

Opening hours vary:

10am to 11pm10am to 10pm10am to 8pm10am to 5pm9am to 2pm

Operating dates and hours subject to change without notice.

Wet n Wild on the Gold Coast must run profitably... it is open all year around though. Visitors/tourists from around Australia and NZ go there specifically to do the theme parks... more than 1 to visit. Discounted tickets, doesn't close when capacity is reached..
