What A Pathetic Marketing Ploy

Have you seen the new SPC ad for their new veg baked beans?

"Got a happy little human being who won’t eat their veggies?

Outsneak them thanks to new 100% Aussie made SPC Baked Beans and Spaghetti - with a serve of nutritious veggies hiding in the sauce.

Our new SPC Sneaky Veg range puts you one step ahead at the kitchen table with a serve of veg that can’t be seen, making sure your kids stay as happy little human beings."

How much nutrition are kids going to get out of those those veges mushed in with baked beans?

Oh well I guess I just gave them some free advertising, lol

I make my own baked beans.  I know what goes in them then

Sorry, don't like the canned ones at all.

Legumes are vegetables...........

Legumes — a class of vegetables that includes beans, peas and lentils

I couldn't agree more Katy.

I also remember a tv pediatrician answering a mother about her childs appetite problems and he did say that there was plenty of nutrition in a tin of baked beans so not to panic.

Repeated for icy: Baked Beans "as a vegetable contain no cholesterol"

Lentils and baked beans recommended as part of diet for people with high cholesterol.

Extra veggie in the sauce a plus.

You can't see the problem because I don't have problem with kids eating baked beans. I wouldn't call baked beans junk food.

I don't particularly have a problem with SPC mushing in vegetable with baked beans either.

I just think it's a pathetic marketing ploy.

I think kids would be better eating fresh vegetables.

I know it's hard to get kids to eat fresh vegetables.

But I don't think mushing them in with baked beans is going to make them like them any better, either.

Good night.
