Why bother with holidays then? More profit for the retailers?
A lot of retailers are already staying open all weekend to cash in on the holiday, chocolate and home renovation industry et al.

Yes but don't you see where it's heading? It means our religious (christian) festivals will become irrelevant other than for retailers. Holidays will become redundant and certainly holiday pay penalities and loading will be done away with.
