What Happened to the White Shelled Eggs

I was going to show the neighbors Childern how we painted the hard boiled eggs.

All we could find were the brown shelled eggs.

I suspect it's consumer driven. People perceive brown eggs to be somehow better or healthier so there is no demand for white ones now.  

They will probably come back into fashion again sometime.
