Mine are fairly extensive:

We have fast, unlimited wireless that we pay a bomb for to run 4 computers plus numerous connected devices. Mobiles, Iphones, bluetooth etc.

Both adults connect to our offices in the city so we can work from home. In my case I transfer huge files between home and work. Both kids connect to school via their portals. All our music is downloaded. All our movies and TV shows are downloaded. We are all on social networks. The kids play connected internet games. All our bills are paid on line. Increasingly, our shopping is done on line and will soon get to a point where all of it will be.

Etc.

Could I survive on a slow internet connection? Not on your life.

That is the whole thing Martini, we just don't know but if our usage increase is anything to go by in recent years then it we will need superior networks.

Interestingly our TV died about 6 weeks ago and we are debating whether we need to get another one.

We've done nothing but download movies and shows since.

The only thing that's been a pain is that I have to go to my mums house at 7.30 a couple of times a week to watch MKR...

I  can watch TV on my laptop, plug the TV aerial into the laptop.

Personally, I want to be able to use an Apple TV, download music & movies and general Internet.

but for work, need to be able to run virtual classrooms, hundreds of klms apart, with live video & audio streaming, including interactive smart boards... this will let isolated people attend mainstream classes and it will be cost effective because the enrolment will be spread over several communities. Also file sharing and video conferencing.

and what if I get bitten by a river monster!? I'll need live medical help via internet

Yes, mining companies... Not just them, but all businesses. Imagine being a country town gift shop and having decent Internet... suddenly they'll be able to compete with city shops. Police too, they'll be able to access databases more easily. It won't matter where you live in Australia, you'll have access to a global market and global help.
