What caused the greenhouse effect?

Does it even exist?

Is this government website lying to us?

http://www.climatechange.gov.au/greenhouse-effect

They even have a link to understanding climate change lol

They should take the page down if we are being lied to.

Re: What caused the greenhouse effect?

.

It's like asking how Santa Claus can deliver presents to 8 billion people in one night

Or like asking where all the fallen teeth went before the Tooth Fairy was invented

Like asking how the Old Woman could raise and feed so many children when all they had to live in was a shoe

Maybe the OP's question should be referred to those who know how waving a wand created a glass-carriage for Cinderella

Or perhaps the German government could explain why despite their arduous efforts to 'cure' the hoax of climate-change, they didn't manage to reduce the fake climate-change one iota

Better still, maybe Al Gore could answer the OP's question

and while he's at it, perhaps he will explain why the hoax of 'global warming'  switched it's name to 'climate change' after it was proved beyond doubt that 'global warming' was a flop

.

If the prawns in our government dared to remove the fake 'greenhouse'  lies

we'd very likely be subjected to a catastropic tsunami

or 'terrorist' attacks

or the destruction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge

or a laboratory-created 'plague'

or even MORE Chemtrail toxins

or 'accidental'  overdoses of fluoride in our drinking water

or the 'mysterious explosion' of a plane filled with our Olympic athletes

Our politicians don't dare

Big money is at stake

and insane psychopaths hold guns to the heads of all governments who even threaten to expose the lies

The government didn't waste much time axing the Climate Commission and Tim Flannery..

...that still makes me giggle..

Re: What caused the greenhouse effect?

Does not sound hysterical at all:

"Understanding climate change

Our climate is changing, largely due to the observed increases in human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas), agriculture and land clearing. Changes over the 20th century include increases in global average air and ocean temperature, widespread melting of snow and ice and rising global sea levels. The extra heat in the climate system has other impacts such as affecting atmospheric and ocean circulation, which influences rainfall and wind patterns.

Another serious impact of the increasing concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide is ocean acidification. Around a quarter of the carbon dioxide produced by humans is absorbed by the oceans. As the carbon dioxide dissolves in sea water it forms a weak carbonic acid, making the ocean more acidic. There are early indications that some marine organisms are already being affected by ocean acidification.

The global average air temperature has increased by around 0.85 degrees Celsius since 1880.[i] The observed increase in temperatures has occurred across the globe, with rising temperatures recorded on all continents and in the oceans. World Meteorological Organization records show that the decade of 2001-10 was the world’s warmest decade on record, and that the 2000s were warmer than the 1990s which in turn were warmer than the 1980s. In Australia, average air temperatures have increased by around 0.9 degrees Celsius since 1910, and each decade has been warmer than the previous decade since the 1950s.[ii]

Scientists agree that the worst effects of climate change can largely be avoided if carbon dioxide emissions are reduced to an acceptable level."

Re: What caused the greenhouse effect?

DY: "Does it even exist"

It is very basic physics DY,  and in this context atmospheric physics. So I presume you are bored and dug up something that which you know little about,  and will now attempt to blame it on the Libs, or better still as a direct result of the acoustic/mechanical/thermal shock-wave resulting from Abbott punching a wall some decades ago.

PC58: "and while he's at it, perhaps he will explain why the hoax of 'global warming'  switched it's name to 'climate change' after it was proved beyond doubt that 'global warming' was a flop"

I see you also have no concept of the "Scientific Method" i.e.  "proved beyond doubt that 'global warming' was a flop"what does that mean when scientific data proves otherwise?

The change  in terminology  is  because whilst there has been a steady rise  (and increasing rate) in CO2 levels and also global temperatures over many decades, both are easily measured as single entities, climate  involves many interacting variables.

It has only by many observations and research based upon the fact that  climate  is dependant on  temperature,  that a hypothesis  has evolved  linking GHG with global climatic conditions. This hypothesis is now accepted by  a majority of scientists  and  scientific bodies world wide, thus the term climate change  is now used instead of global warming , the step being accepted as obvious!

Re: What caused the greenhouse effect?

How could I blame the libs for it?

I blame pollution mostly, or did you mean the government website? You can't blame abbott for that, I doubt he has read it or even understands it?
