What do people think is the best Smartphone and why?

I am after a new Smartphone.

There are many options now. So just thought I would ask users here.

I am sure almost everyone here has one, mine is getting old  time to upgrade. BIG TIME. 🙂

I am leaning towards the new iPhone 5s. But not 100% convinced.

So all thoughts and ideas welcome.

Wanted to do a poll, but it seems they cant be done now. 😞

Everything you buy for an iphone will be tide to Apple products... 

Everything you buy for the Galaxy phone can be used on any other android phone. 

I like freedom of the products I buy... 

There is a person that tried to put in his will that all his thousands and thousands  of iphone music store purchases went to his daughter when he died.. that was found to be impossible as everything you buy is non transferable and the purchases are lots. 

There are programs you can use to convert them I believe but do you really want that extra hassle? 

that is one reason I like the android choice but to me they are much more versatile and user friendly.

Samsung Galaxy II here, won't bother upgrading it until it dies probably, does everything I need it to.

I have just gotten the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and I love it!. It has the same features as the other Samsungs but it's smaller. Best phone I have had.
