What is the worst meal you have had cooked up for you

I don't think I've ever had a bad meal cooked for me .. I've had "bland" and "hmmm could have done better" but nothing bad enough to make me puke.

Ooh I had the worst meal ever at my sons friends house. Picture this, your son has made a new friend, he was about 10, And the parents want to get to know us.

They were vegetarians and also coeliacs, they served a risotto with meat substitute chunks that looked and had the texture of clag glue. It was gag making. Unfortunately, there was plenty of it and we were served HUGE plates of it( think mountains) making our tongues stick to our palates..ewww..

My son, unfortunately thought it was a joke and asked why would vegetarians want to substitute meat for clag?..Its gone down in family folklore and still makes me laugh...

Two meals come to mind, the under cooked chicken my best friend made me and the Rare Rare meat served to me at a BBQ.

I cant stand any blood on my plate at all.

I tried to make beef wellington one time for a special birthday meal, lets just say I had to chase it around the kitchen for a bit and put it back in the oven.

My mother in law made chicken in white sauce......... it was milk thickened with cornflour, chunks of potato and carrot. The chicken was drumsticks....... white as.... and with the pimply skin.......:_|

I tried to eat it... I really did..... trying to catch my OH's eye, he was avoiding eye contact, MIL left the table and went to the phone...... I quickly jumped up, ran to the bin, scraped it in, back to table..... avoiding my FIL's eyes.

We were invited to a batchelor  friend's for dinner...

When we arrived, he fished a couple of packets of "steak" out of the freezer and whacked them straight onto the barbeque. Frozen.

They were lumps of chuck steak.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you that the meat was so tough you couldn't cut it with a knife, let alone chew it.

And the only other food on offer was bread - and beer!

I could imagine it,
