Mine is people not being punctual.  I can handle 5-10 minutes but later than that starts to really get my blood boiling.  Why do some people think its not important to keep to a set time?  Im seriously interested, if you are one of those people wha are your reasons and do you think its rude to the other person?

Very annoying I agree.  'There', 'their' and 'they're' are not interchangeable either.

But here's a couple of misused words that I've seen a lot recently, that really make me grit my teeth.

1. Phased when they meant fazed.

                       and

2. Waist when they meant waste.

Honestly......

My pet hate is motorists who do not now the road rules when it comes to towing horse floats.....and police who are just as bad!

We often travelled on narrow country roads with the float.   One in particular was a short cut between 2 main roads and we used it frequently.  On two occasions we were pulled up by the police for slowing down traffic by driving too slowly.....traffic meaning 2 or 3 cars behind us and too slowly meaning we were doing 80 to accommodate the following traffic when really we should have been doing less because of the road condition.  We were doing the limit for towing a float....if we had been doing any more we would have been fined for speeding.

There was only 3-4 kms of this road....surely drivers did not need to be so impatient.

After the second time we were pulled over I contacted the local area commander and suggested that his men should look up the speed limit for towing horse floats....on both occasions we were doing the 80kph that was allowed

Another pet hate is the cars that tailgate a float with kids rubbernecking to see if there is a horse on board.....or pulling alongside the float for the same reason then pushing in in front of us when a car was bearing down on them.   The kids rarely had much luck seeing anything as we were usually floating 2 x 12hh ponies...all you could see was the tips of their ears.

Sadly correcting bad English (spelling, grammar, punctuation et al..) became an ever increasing issue over time in my job.  When I first started in the 80s it was an occasional fix here and there.  Now the wrong words, bad spelling etc are so common - sometimes with whole paragraphs not making sense - that too much time is taking up with correcting other people's mistakes.

I would suggest that the lack of quality education is on the rise....and it's not necessarily the fault of the (former) students.  Having spoken to some work colleagues who continually make the same obvious mistakes, it appears that their teachers didn't regard this as very important.  Unfortunately for them, there are still places where literacy is expected.

My biggest worry?  Hmm.  Not a worry but a big pain in the butt....especially if you have to fix approx. 700-800 documents per year.

I now have no time for two faced people. I've given up making excuses for them and won't waste any of my energy on them any more.

Fair enough, I must admit, I did initially think your post was aimed at another phorum ( AAAGGGHHHH   Smiley Very Happy ) user and it was'nt until I had fired off my response that I went through all of the posts and realised it was a generalisation aimed at the thread topic, rather than something more personal.......Smiley Happy.

And yes, manuy of the teachers in the little school I attended where simply warming the seat until retirement .
