Nothing to do with evolution.
Has to do with..........I can't say here, but think of uncooked spaghetti versus cooked spaghetti.

I think you've got a bloody hide posting my picture in there, Stawks! I see it as a personal attack and I've told the Mods about it! I think you owe me an apology! A simple "I'm sorry, Icy" will suffice.
You too, Helen.
Good morning Icy.
As this is my first post on this thread - I am not exactly sure - what it is that needs an apology.
Your pat on the back to Stawka for posting my picture in that spoiler. Thank you. Shows very poor judgement on your part.
You are quite right. My sincere apologies.

Thank you. I accept.

In nature it is the male in his prime that gets the females; that is a strong male that was clever and fortunate enough to survive his youth and is still fertile. That has an evolutionary advantage. Humans are too far from nature for our coupling habits to have evolutionary benefit. But young female marrying older, well established man, means that she and her offspring will have the advantage of his position. So, while you can say that she has married him for his money, you could also say she has married him for his brains and ability to achieve, and that could have some evolutionary benefit to her off-spring. Young men marrying older woman past her childbearing age usually do it for money.
I, personally, always preferred more mature men; I usually found men my age too immature and childish.
