Daughters had a sore throat since yesterday. I just assumed the flu cause I had it last week and it started with a sore throat too.
But she is still complaining and when I looked down her throat tonight I can see that her tonsils are swollen and one is possibly **bleep**.
So what happens? Does she need a doctors visit and antibiotics? Google tells me it will pass in a few days to a week but to see a doctor if infections starts in.
Any advice?

It could be glandular fever martini. Definately take her to the dr.

But do you get **bleep** tonsils with glandular fever?

It is glandular fever season, I know a few adults that have it and it starts with a very sore throat and swollen glands.
Kids can get glandular fever as well as adults.
Take her to the dr.

see if pussey works
as for the throat - it's all linked to the sinus and ears - it might pass in a few days, but do you really want to risk things heading into her ears and sinus?
if it's pussey - it's an infection, don't mess qaround with a kids' hearing or sinus'
well thems my thoughts anyway. As alarmist as they seem. Dr Google is ok for yourself, but let a kid see a real doctor is what I reckon.
sore ears hurt, can lead to ear infections, burst eardrums and loss of hearing
and as for sinus infections - wanna see some pics of what happens when they go to your brain?

tonsilitis, or strep throat, is not to be taken lightly.
The same bacteria can do bad things to your kidneys so doctors like to hit you with antibiotics pretty quickly.
Well, that's been my experience with tonsilitis. I've had doctors yell at me for letting it get so bad.
There has been a pretty nasty ear infection getting around too.
