I'd nearly forgot some of thos ads mentioned. Yes, I thought the same thing about the pest gadget in the mother in laws house.
Like the meerkats too. So cute.

May I ask why do youse guys watch ads? (this is a serious question, not mocking)
I have a mute button on my remote control and I am not afraid to use it while I either have a pee, get a beer, look after the dinner or see what's on other channels.
I would never watch that mindless noisy brain mushing stuff designed to make me buy things I don't need.

Us guys Kennedia don't actually watch the ads any more than you do, although we don't have to go and do a P or have a cupt of T or a B... so some of them might catch our attention while we sit and wait for the show to being again....
The mute is on, but just once in a while something will catch my attention and I will take an interest, not in the product but in how the ad has been presented and sometimes it' really eye catching...
Did I say 'sometimes' ??? Well once out of about 2,000 ads one comes along that is worth a second look....
Does that answer your question ???

well, in a way it does.
it means that even though it's on mute you still stare into the screen even though you very well know what ads are designed for and despite the fact that most of them are so stupid that i feel my intelligence insulted by ad makers thinking i could possibly enjoy that.
also they are incredibly noisy and annoying.
if i need not do one of the above (see previous post) i pick up my book and read a few lines.
it is still a mystery to me why people watch ads.

Doesn't anybody here have cable??
Minimal ad breaks. Use Pause button. Fast forward through ad. Voila

I have cable TV. What a joke - still plenty of ads especially for funeral insurance and the like. Probably will have it cut off later next year when what I have paid ahead of time runs out. I would miss History channel and Nat Geo though.

Years ago I got cable. Fox tv I think it was. i got it because it touted an advert-free tv service.
But then it changed and there were so many ads that I cancelled my subscription. I am not going to pay to be blitzed with advertising.
I reckon that commercial tv and radio stations should pay me for watching them.
Same as all those branded clothes and shoes. If I'm going to wear clothes which advertise, then I want to be paid for my advertising service.
