Mine is the little boy with the sabre and Mum getting out 'just in time' before he attacks the old man with the eye patch

I like the ad with the boxer dog in it... some woman's mag I think....
But i just LOVE the expression on his face as he dressed up, and fed sushi!
( it might be because my own furbabies are boxers )

But then it changed and there were so many ads that I cancelled my subscription. I am not going to pay to be blitzed with advertising.
I reckon that commercial tv and radio stations should pay me for watching them.
Same as all those branded clothes and shoes. If I'm going to wear clothes which advertise, then I want to be paid for my advertising service.
Fox TV rings a bell. Sure that's what I had years ago when cable first arrived. With Optus atm but yes used to be no ads for a while but then changed to a few until now - just unbelievable - for a paid service. Car ads are the worst offenders. Off the scale. Sometmes even the exact same ad is run again just a few minutes after its first outing. Pay TV is shooting itself in the foot. A lot of people would be like us and decide we can do without it. There are many free-to-air chanels now as well which was not the case years ago.

Cable TV mostly advertises its own shows on all channels. If it weren't
for these ads I might miss a new show or the new series of a show that I
have previously been watching.
Movie channels are still ad-free while the movie is running. Ads are only
shown between movies. Thank goodness I can pause the movie for a
p break or cuppa though.

I must admit the TCM channel and Fox classics have no ad breaks - I rarely watch the other movie channels as don't like a lot of the more modern movies. I find the station promos like you mentioned irritating because again - repeated too often.

Yep, the little 'pirate' boy is my favourite too. I could watch him for hours
My second-best favourite is the Aldi Surfing Santas ad with the Hawaii
Five-O theme and 'ho ho ho ho'

I've just seen the Aldi Santas surfing ad for the first time - it's just great. My favourite was the Schweppervessence one on a few weeks ago with the boys and girls tumbling down the hill into the water. So full of - well - schweppervessence.

I absolutely love the little pirate boy ad. Anyone that has had boys will get it. It so reminds me of my son on his 4th birthday when he wore his batman suit to Coles. He kept jumping in front of customers and with hands on hips saying in his deepest gruffest voice, "I'm Batman... and it's my birthday".
